What personal data we collect and why?
– Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data displayed in the comment form, as well as the IP address of the visitor and the browser’s user agent to make the spam tracking easier.

An anonymous string created from your email address (also called “hash”) can be provided to the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. The Gravatar privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approving your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public along with your comment.

Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid downloading images with location data (GPS EXIF). Visitors can download and extract all the location data from the images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you can choose to save your name, your e-mail address and your website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your information again when you leave another comment. These cookies last one year.

If you have an account, when you sign in to the website, we set up a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie does not contain any personal data and is deleted when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set multiple cookies to save your login information and your display options. Cookies of connection last two days and options of the cookies of screen last one year. If you select “Remember Me”, your connection preferences will be saved for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the cookies will be deleted.

If you edit or post an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie does not contain any personal data and only indicates who just changed the article. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (eg videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if the visitor had visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, integrate third-party tracking and monitor your interaction with the embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to this website.

Analytics
Who do we share your data with?
How long do we keep your data?
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are kept indefinitely. We can automatically recognize and approve follow-up comments instead of keeping them in a moderation queue.
For users registered on our website (if applicable), personal informations they provide are stored for their user profile. All users can view, modify or delete their personal information at any time (they can not change their username, though). Website administrators can also view and edit these informations.

Which rights do you have on your data?
If you have an account on this site or if you have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of your personal data, including the data that you have provided us. You can also request that we erase any personal data about you. This does not include data that we are required to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes.

Where do we send your data?
Visitor comments can be checked via an automated spam detection service.
