Visa application to travel to Oman
Since March 2018, people who are eligible to travel to Oman have the opportunity to get an electronic visa. The most common way to get the visa is to download the form from the Royal Oman Police website. The authorization is electronically linked to your passport and is valid for six months from the date of approval.

You must travel with the passport you used to get your e-visa. The request, as well as the payment of the administrative fees are made online. The tourist visa allows you to stay up to 30 days from your date of entry and is valid for a single entry only. After submitting the online form, eligible applicants will get their authorization within 48 hours. The authorization can be renewed once there at the Royal Omani Police (ROP).

The official document is valid for 1 year and must not exceed 3 weeks after its expiry date.

How to get your visa authorization?

Since March 21, 2018, tourist visa applications must be made online only. Indeed, following a change in legislation, it will no longer be possible to get a visa upon arrival at the airport. Available in PDF format, the Visa Form Print page can be read on your machine using the Reader PDF software. However, you can install the PDF reader software of your choice.

Before submitting a visa application you must know if you are eligible for this authorization. You can apply for an application if you are a citizen of the countries below:


Europe: all countries of the European Union, Andorra, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Macedonia, Iceland, Vatican City, San Marino and Great Britain. South America: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Venezuela, Suriname, Uruguay, Paraguay, Ecuador. Other countries and regions: Australia, New Zealand, Brunei Dar Al Salam, Canada, USA, Japan, French Guinea, Lebanon, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Seychelles, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Macao ( China).

What should I do after my request?

You will be notified with one of the following answers :
• Approved Authorization
• Pending Authorization
• Unauthorized Travel.

Your request has 99.9% of chance to be accepted as long as you fill out the online form correctly. If you then meet the required conditions, your authorization will be within 48 hours. After getting the authorization for Oman, you must:
• Present a valid passport with your printed PDF authorization
• Have the intention to travel for a maximum period of 90 days.
• Be a citizen of one of the countries benefiting from the Traditional Visa Waiver Program
If your application is denied, you will have to go to the Omani Embassy and apply for a standard visa.
